The REFRION family expands
In order to broaden its product range, REFRION created a new company in Austria on December 4th.
REFRION Kaeltetechnik Gmbh, a limited liability company under Austrian law, 100% owned by the Friulan Group, will specialise in the production of heat exchangers for the refrigeration sector.
This step was inspired by the opportunities present in the Carinthia region, providing incentives for new companies in areas and sectors hit by structural crises. The new company will have a head office in the town of Hermagor, where thermo-electric companies have historically operated.
REFRION Kaeltetechnik GmbH was established with share capital of 260 thousand Euro and, according to the business plan presented, foresees hiring almost 40 local workers and making investments of over 2 million Euro over the next three years.
Due to the contraction of market demand, the REFRION group will close fiscal year 2009 with an unavoidable sales turnover reduction by about 30%. The adoption of prudent cost containment measures, however, has allowed the company to not only cleverly make up for this contraction, but also to look to new horizons for expansion.
Even with this recent investment in Austria, the REFRION group seeks to reaffirm its own calling towards internationalisation, both in commercial and productive terms. Today, apart from Italy, REFRION is present, directly with associate companies or detached sales offices, in Switzerland, France, Russia and now also in Austria.
